Singapore Orthodontic Braces FAQ (Part III)

Updated: Oct 17, 2020

How long would Singaporeans need for orthodontic braces treatment?

The time required to complete the orthodontic braces treatment varies from patient to patient depending on the severity and complexity of the dental issue. This includes factors such as the amount of space available, the distance that the teeth have to move, the health of the tooth and bone structures and the commitment of the patient to the treatment plan. On average, orthodontic braces treatment ranges from one to three years. After the completion of orthodontic braces treatment, the patient will have to wear retainers in order to keep the teeth in the proper position. The retainers will have to worn full time for a year and after that the patient can transition into wearing the retainers during their sleep.
